The 5280 BPW, of the Western District of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC, Inc.) proudly announce their Mary E. Singletary District & National Vocal Arts Competition for Emerging Artists (Formerly known as the Leontyne Price Competition and The Vocal Arts Competition for Emerging Artists).
The name addition of Mary E. Singletary acknowledges her leadership in 1982 to initiate this competition and her service as our 14th National President. Each year this event searches the surrounding area for outstanding vocal talent. Contestants are offered a virtual professional audition at the local level with an opportunity to advance to the district and national levels. All contestants of the National Competition will be awarded a cash Scholarship.
